The Damned United is a film based on the controversial, short-lived tenure of Brian Clough (Michael Sheen) as coach of football team Leeds United. His role began with a spurned handshake and ended abruptly after a journey exploring many other facets of life such as ambition, greed, success, friendship, failure and love.
