Nanny McPhee was a successful film made in 2005. While it did OK at the Box Office, very few thought it would return in the shape of a follow up movie.
However, half a decade later and to the surprise of many movie critics, Mrs. McPhee is back and ready for another attack on the big screens across the world with Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.
The family film is directed by Susanna White and was adapted by Emma Thompson from the popular kids book series, Nurse Matilda.
Thompson continues her role as the main character Nanny McPhee, and the film also stars Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ralph Fiennes, Rhys Ifans, Maggie Smith, Asa Butterfield, Bill Bailey and Katy Brand.
The plot for the new film involves a group of children who are evacuated from the city to a farm during wartime.
Here they bump into the one and only Nanny McPhee and her magic-wielding greatness.
Relying on everything from a flying motorcycle and a statue that comes to life to a tree-climbing piglet and a baby elephant that turns up in the oddest places, Nanny McPhee uses her magic to teach her mischievous charges a bunch of new lessons.
Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang is sure to do well with the younger generation and families around the nation. Apart from that it may struggle to make an impact.
Expect it in cinemas 26th March.
