Everybody loved Bad Boys – boys love to repeat lines from the movies all the time – or maybe that’s just the guys I hang-out with!
The sequel to the original blockbuster reportedly took $273million worldwide and it has catapulted Will Smith (actor), Michael Bay (director) and Jerry Bruckheimer (producer) into three of Hollywood’s hot shots since the 1995 original. Shame about Martin Lawrence really…
Six years after the release of the second film they have decided to make a third one. The Hollywood Reporter has recently stated that, “all parties (Smith, Bay, Bruckheimer and Lawrence – of course) have expressed a willingness to return if a story can be hammered out”. The executives will have to cut hefty deals to get everyone back, so they’ll be hoping to have something on paper to draw the team in again.
And so Peter Craig has been enlisted to write the script, he is an established author of dark, comic novels, wrote The Town – Ben Affleck’s latest directorial stint, and has been working on the screenplay for Cowboy Bebop, an adaptation from an anime and is set to star Keanu Reeves. With Peter Craig’s background Bad Boys 3 could actually be an interesting one to keep an eye on.
