Now, this is the kind of movie you DO NOT want your girlfriend to see.

How to be a Sex Star follows the journey of a man called Nathan Hill.

He is an average looking guy, average in almost all fields of life except for when it comes to picking up girls.

He is a Casanova whose chief occupation is the picking up women.

In the movie, if you could call it that, he juggles five different girls over a series of hilarious dates, all while trying to maintain his reputation by sleeping with the hottest girl in the city.

Now if you have read the book ‘The Game’, this is a movie for you.

It delves into he world of pick up artists, and the mind of females and how to ‘score’.

Bet’s are, if you took your other half to the cinemas with you to watch it, she would either walk out in a fuss, demanding you to go with her, or actually get into it while smirking at all the lines she swears would never work on her.

With equal parts of entertainment, information and controversies, SexStar finally reveals the truth about the games men play to pick up women.

The movie should be out May 1 in cinemas around Australia.

Keep your eye out for it and make sure you find a secret way to watch it!

It’s good to see the movie world adapt to the 21st century.

One genre that has been slow in making the move to adapt to the new popular culture we live in has been the superhero genre.

For years we have been living in the memories of Superman, Batman, Spiderman and never really tried to make a new breed of fighting superhero’s.

Until now.

Kick Ass is a new release by director Matthew Vaughn, and is all about new age superhero’s, known as a group called kick ass.

At the beginning we are introduced to Dave Lizewski, an unnoticed high school student who lives comic books so much that one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training.

He is eventually joined by Red Mist, Hit Girl and her dad, known as Big Daddy and they form a team to dismantle vandals, evil people and bad guys.

While doing so, they have heaps of funny moments, and really do adopt a humorous approach to their lives.

This is summed up by their slogan, which reads:

I can’t read your mind. But I can kick your ass.

I can’t be invisible. But I can kick your ass.

I can’t fly. But I can kick your ass.

I can’t see through walls. But I can kick your ass.

Shut Up. Kick-Ass.

Have fear. They’re here.

A new breed of superheroes will be revealed.

All in all, Kick Ass is a great little movie, and is out now at most cinemas around the country.

The wrong place at the wrong time is a perfect plot for any Hollywood movie, and is the cornerstone for the new action drama, From Paris With Love.

Directed by Pierre Morel, (who is known for his work in the film Taken) From Paris With Love is a story about a low-rank intelligence operator, who accidentally finds himself teamed up with a high-ranked agent who is on a mission to stop a terrorist attack.

James Reece (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) was used to living a luxurious life in Paris with his beautiful French girlfriend and easygoing lifestyle.

His side job as a low-level operative for the CIA, however, is his real passion and therefore does not turn down a senior level assignment when it is offered to him.

However, when he meets his new partner, US special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta), he begins to regret his decision.

Wax is a trigger-happy, loudmouth, loose cannon who sets a massive contrast to Reece.

He wants out but when he discovers he has become a target of the terrorist group they are trying to stop, there is no turning back.

From Paris With Love takes the viewers on a comical, but super adventurous journey through Paris.

Travolta does a great job of being the bad guy/good cop and his new appearance, a baldhead, is great for the role!

In summary, Form Paris With Love is not a bad movie.

From Paris With Love is screening now at selected cinemas around the country.

Oscar time is a great time for cinema. But one of the bad things about it is that there are so many good movies to watch that we often miss a few real gems, which manage to get overlooked by the bigger, highly publicized movies.

Precious is one of these films. With the likes of Avatar, The Hurt Locker and Invictus stealing the limelight, the Lee Daniels release has managed to go by under the radar in recent months.

Set in Harlem in the 80s, Precious is the story of Claireece Precious Jones, a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life of pain.

For starters, she is pregnant for the second time by her drug-addicted father. Her life at home is made a nightmare by her abusive mother, a poisonously angry woman who scars her emotionally and physically.

School is a place of chaos, and Precious has reached the ninth grade with good marks even though she cannot read or write.

The inspiring story of Precious is that while she may sometimes be down, she is never out. Her story speaks of a courageous woman who overcomes adversity to reach greater heights.

Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the chance to transfer to an alternative school, a move that will lead on a journey from darkness, pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination.

There are few movies which leave an everlasting scar on your memory, and Precious is one of these films… for the right reasons.

The Blind Side is the new film by director John Lee Hancock, which is based on true events of an African American homeless schoolboy.

The very first thing that strikes you when you watch the film is the horrible southern accent performed by Sandra Bullock, who somehow received an Ocsar nomination for her poor efforts.

After a while you soon forget about the accent and begin to be hooked into the storyline of a struggling overweight teenager named Michael Oher, who is accepted into a wealthy, warming family who takes him under their wing.

The movie introduces you to Oher when he is accepted into the school under a footballing scholarship. However, he has no place to stay and spends his first nights on the streets before being taken by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Bullock).

After a bit of time, Oher’s grades begin to improve, his happiness increases and he begins to actually enjoy life.

Finally he is allowed to play football, and while he doesn’t perform too well at the beginning, a few inspiring worlds from Tuohy, saying that his teammates are like family, sees him begin to dominate the competition.

For a movie which has not had too much publicity, it has certainly achieved large amounts of success in America, where it is dominating the Box Office.

The word of mouth from the viewers seems to have been working a treat.

However, in my eyes, the film still lacks a bit of style and extra punch, which I think, is needed to take home any Academy Awards.

But overall, still a solid movie.
