Directed by Albert and Alan Hughes, the movie is based around a lone hero must fight his way across the wasteland of post-apocalyptic USA to protect a sacred book that holds the key to saving the future of humanity.

A real fantasy film that has some pretty impressive graphics and special effects.

Washington has s stellar performance and the movie seems to drag along quite smoothly for its majority.

The main character, as you may have guessed is Eli, and he fights to save the world.

Does he do it in the end??

How to be a Sex Star follows the journey of a man called Nathan Hill.

He is an average looking guy, average in almost all fields of life except for when it comes to picking up girls.

In the movie, if you could call it that, he juggles five different girls over a series of hilarious dates, all while trying to maintain his reputation by sleeping with the hottest girl in the city.

Directed by Grant Heslov and written by Peter Straughan the film takes a humorous look at military gone wrong, in the form of soldiers believing they had psychic powers.

With a start studded cast, The Men Who Stare at Goats begins with a journalist, Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor), who flies to Iraq to investigate the Iraq War in an attempt to produce an acclaimed piece of journalism.

Alonghi travels he bumps into Special Forces operator, Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), who reveals he was part of an American army unit training psychic spies.

Referring to the m as ‘Jedi’s’, Cassady then goes on to reveal how they were taught to perform cloud bursting, walking through walls, and intuition.

Meanwhile, the founder of the unit, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), clashes with two of his best recruits, Lyn Cassady and Larry Hooper (Kevin Spacey), who developed a lifelong rivalry because of their opposing views of how to implement the new philosophy they have all discovered.

From here, the movie goes on a comical journey throughout the Iraq War and with the class of Spacey, Bridges and Clooney, The Men Who Stare at Goats does well despite the mediocre plot.

In summary, the film will provide you moments of laughter, but also times of lameness and annoyance and at the overboard story line.

Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio will forever be etched in our minds as the two who brought us the catch cries, ‘Daniel Son’ and ‘Wax on, Wax off”.

Now, however, two decades after its last release, and the franchise is back with another addition.

The Karate Kid is a 2010 movie release that is basically a modified replica of the original.

This time, with the sad news Pat Morita has passed away, martial arts expert Jackie Chan will be assuming the role as Mr. Miyagi, but this time it will be Mr. Han.

And instead of Daniel Larusso, we are introduced to 12 year-old Dre Parker, who is a popular Detroit kid until his mother’s career forces them to relocate overseas to China.

It is here where Dre begins to make enemies, including the class bully, Cheng, who is constantly beating up Dre with his Kung Fu skills.

Dre eventually turns to maintenance man Mr. Han who is secretly a Kung Fu master.

Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, and much in the same vein as the original Karate Kid, the two form a strong bond and go on to bigger and better things together.

While it will never be able to outdo the original, the new Karate Kid does a great job of respecting its previous titles and is definitely a worthwhile movie to watch.

With so many adaptations of the successful storyline since it was first written so many years ago, my initial thoughts were that the new installment would be a letdown to all fans.

However, after actually giving it the time of day, I have changed my mind on what I think of the movie.

Directed by Tim Burton, the movie was always going to be in safe hands, I should have known that…

The movie itself comes with great casting, with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts and Stephen Fry as The Cheshire Cat.

Mia Wasikowska plays the role of Alice, in a performance that should guarantee her large amounts of success in her acting future.

In case you are still not familiar with the tale of Alice in Wonderland, it begins with the 19 year-old attending a party shortly after the death of her father.

At the party, Alice finds a white rabbit, which is dressed in a waistcoat and pocket watch.

In a frightened state, she runs off and follows the White Rabbit through a maze.

Here, she tumbles down a hole and into the underworld where he had been to 10 years earlier.

Struggling to remember her past time there, she eventually leads the Wonderland community to victory over the evil Red Queen in a tale full of adventure and excitement.
