When a veteran comedian learns he is suffering from a terminal, inoperable health condition, he strives to form a genuine friendship before he dies. As a result, he takes a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act with a spirited result.

Lake House is reported to be the story of old high school buddies who reunite in their hometown. Hayek is to play Sandler’s wife and mother to their daughters.

Sandler is allegedly finalising the script with director Dennis Dugan (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry) and co-writer Fred Wolf (The House Bunny). Filming for the movie is rumoured to begin in New England in May.

Hayek’s latest flick is the upcoming supernatural fantasy, Cirque Du Freak or Circus of the Freak [English release], due in European cinemas late this year.
