Based on the award-winning novel, Q & A by Vikas Swarup, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of 18-year-old Jamal Malik (Patel), an orphan from the slums of Mumbai. Jamal who is one question away from winning a mind-blowing 20 million rupees on India’s TV game show, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.

Change scene: Jamal is arrested on suspicion of cheating and must tell the police the incredible story of his life on the streets of India and how by pure luck he has come to know the answer to every question on the game show.

The Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire was directed by British filmmaker Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) and filmed in the slums of Mumbai, although is very much a Western production.
