Continuing the gore from the three older films, Saw V opens with Detective Mark Hoffman (Mandylor) being praised by his colleagues for his efforts in thwarting the notorious serial killer, Jigsaw. However, cluey FBI Agent Strahm (Peterson) rightly suspects there is more to Hoffman’s heroics than meets the eye. As Strahm closes in on the truth, Hoffman (as Jigsaw’s final apprentice) goes on the hunt to eliminate any risk of being exposed.
