Based on the best-selling novel by Jodi Picoult. Anna (Abigail Breslin) is not technically sick, but has undergone countless procedures and surgeries and shots, even though she is only thirteen. Anna was conceived as a “harvest” child, and was genetically engineered to be a bone marrow match for her older sister Kate (Sofia Vassilieva) who suffers from leukaemia. As Anna gets older she begins to challenge her role as the “harvest” child and sues her parents for medical emancipation.
