The fatalistic movie franchise Final Destination is back on the big screens with its fourth, and final, installment, Final Destination 4: The Final Destination.

After the box office success of the first movie, we saw a sequel, and then another follow up soon after the film.

However, with an extremely hard-to-satisfy public audience, it was not long until the series was criticised for being predictable, repetitive, and above all, stale in its plot.

With each new movie came the same old story line, and the same old formula: people cheat their deaths, and fate ensures they do not skip the cycle.

Of course, like any other Final Destination movie this principal is carried on into the new release, as did the rule whereby if you manage to cheat death again, it skips you to the next person.

This time but, the directors were committed to producing a new version of the movie that would silence the critics and show the world that the movies plot has more to offer than just a few gruesome, and highly graphic, deaths.

Unfortunately, they failed.

The Final Destination is just like any of its previous releases, and while some may think that is a bad thing, others really do believe it’s a good thing.

Many people just love blood and guts. The age old saying ‘if it not broke, don’t fix it’ can really apply to this film.

While it is just a regurgitation of its previous releases, it still is a pretty damn good movie to watch.

One thing they have done to ensure the movie is an improvement, is the new 3-D element attached to it, allowing for an increased visual experience.
