Rugby-loving Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) was in his element when at the game between South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday.
Crowe, who co-owns the Rabbitohs NRL team, lapped up the winning atmosphere as he watched his team score goal after goal, thrashing the opponents.
In an interesting gesture towards his team, Crowe raised his thumb in praise of their fourth goal, but then turned it down in a true Gladiator style to signal his boys to show no mercy.
Apart from at a Rabbitoh’s game, you can catch Russell in his latest performance, State of Play, based on the popular BBC mini-series due out on our shores in May. Russ plays a cluey journalist who uncovers a political murder mystery thriller. Read more about it here.
