Good news for all the prehistoric, dinosaur loving fans out there with the Jurassic Park franchise set to continue in the near future.
After the success of the third installment in 2002 it has been a long time between drinks for director Steve Spielberg, but it looks like the fourth edition is finally going to come together this time.
Since Jurassic Park III, talks about a fourth film have constantly flared up, only to die again, and again.
In 2005 actor Sam Neil had confirmed he would return to the film, and everything from the script, special effects and the basic choreography had been completed, but none of the quality lived up to director Spielberg’s standards.
The Jurassic Park franchise has been a successful series since its birth in 1990 with Universal Studios, and many big players’ in the industry have been a fan of its work.
One of them is Hollywood director, Joe Johnston, who recently revealed his love for the films and his passion to one day work with a new Jurassic Park Release.
“There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it’s nothing like the first three,” Johnston said.
“It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved.”
No set date has been made for the release of Jurassic Park 4, although it seems the new addition to the family will not be far away.
