According to JoBlo.com, Salma Hayek (Ugly Betty, 30 Rock) is to be cast in the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy, Lake House (working title). Apart from Hayek, the film features a star-studded line up including Sandler himself, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Kevin James and David Spade.

Lake House is reported to be the story of old high school buddies who reunite in their hometown. Hayek is to play Sandler’s wife and mother to their daughters.

Sandler is allegedly finalising the script with director Dennis Dugan (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry) and co-writer Fred Wolf (The House Bunny). Filming for the movie is rumoured to begin in New England in May.

Hayek’s latest flick is the upcoming supernatural fantasy, Cirque Du Freak or Circus of the Freak [English release], due in European cinemas late this year.
